This API's being expanded to allow multi-collection search will be a game-changer since it will be extremely useful in many contexts, reduce round-trip latency, and enhance the search experience.

oka: Thanks for the feedback. I agree it will be a very beneficial feature. We will keep it in mind as we build out the search APIs, though in the initial version multi-collection support will most likely not be there.
